Candy Cane Roll-Up, also known as Single Leg Roll-Up, is footlock skill that we teach towards the beginning of our beginner level curriculum. It’s a complex skill that prepares students for many other rollup skills like Arabesque Roll-Up, Splits Roll-Up, and more.

Candy Cane Roll-Up requires a strong foot and leg engagement in the footlock, a moderate amount of grip strength, and the ability to be strong in both a neutral and an arched body position.

This skill can also be trained standing on the fabric knot, and we show that variation and explain the differences between the two. This is a good skill to get beginner level students started on more complex footlock skills on aerial silks.
