Clothesline Aerial Silks Beginner Footlocks Video Tutorial

Clothesline is a skill where we use smart leg and hip engagements to create a bend in the fabric to support a knee hook. We teach this to our level 1 students and it’s a foundation for learning how to create support with knee hook. In our intermediate level curriculum, when students learn skills from inverted knee hooks like Same Side Climb, Opposite Side Climb, and many more, the practice they’ve had here with holding strong support will come in handy.

This skill can be done from a Figure 8 Footlock or a Dancer Footlock, and it is shown in this video with split fabrics and also with fabrics together.
