Cupid is a skill where the aerialist makes a shape that looks like cupid getting ready to shoot their arrow. This skill is actually a mini-sequence all on its own and it builds off of dancer wraps and a push me pull you straddle up inversion. This skill can be done starting from either two or three dancer wraps on one leg, and in this video we talk about a few differences to keep in mind when you choose how many wraps to start from.

This skill lends itself to some interesting transitions and different exit options, so once you’ve got it down be sure to check out our related sequences for more ideas on how to use this skill.
