Front Arabesque with Arm Block is a variation of Front Arabesque that teaches students to support themselves with body parts other than their grip. This variation requires a good sense of counterbalance, and maintaining a strong arched body and a strong shoulder position.

We typically teach this skill in our beginner level curriculum, after students are comfortable moving around in a variety of other footlock skill including Standing Side Lean, Back Arabesque, Candy Cane Roll Up, and more. This skill can be done from a single footlock as shown in this video, or from standing on top of a fabric knot.
