Hand Under Hand Descent is something we teach once students are already good at the Inchworm Descent. We typically teach this at the beginning of our intermediate level curriculum. When it’s done well, this descent looks effortless and that can be frustrating to students when they’re first learning and realize that just because it looks that way doesn’t mean it actually is!

Hand Under Hand Descent is a skill that uses a strong thigh squeeze for support. Be aware that some anatomies will make this skill come easily, and some will make it feel next to impossible. We’ve got drills and progressions to help anyone get better at this beautiful descent.
