The High Kick Entry into Knee Belay on Aerial Silks is simple and direct. It doesn’t require an inversion or any special strength, it simply requires some smart leg and hip movements to make successful. This is typically the first entry into Knee Belay that we teach our aerial silk students. This aerial silk skill can be set up and explored low to the ground and there are many shapes to make in it and exits to take out of it. This tutorial video covers key teaching and training tips to make the entrance successful, along with progressions that we use to teach it to our students, basic shapes to explore in knee belay, and two different exits exits to take out of this knee belay.
