This aerial silks climb is a favorite of many of our students. We call it the Russian Step Through Climb because to make it work nicely requires one foot to fully step through and past the other foot. This climb is very secure if the footwork is smart, and with two straight legs and pointed toes it looks very elegant as well.
Just like with any climb, we always start our students with just one step to make sure they feel the support. In this climb that means getting all the weight into the legs. Our progressions include tips for avoiding a crowded and stuck feeling climb, and details about the footwork needed to make it successful every time.
