This aerial silks sequence combines two dynamic skills, and the way that they’re combined can have a tendency to put a student on their non-preferred side if they have not been training both sides equally. We enjoy teaching sequences that force an aerialist onto their less favorite side because it gives us an opportunity to make that side better, while also reinforcing one of the reasons we always try to train both sides equally, which is so that we’ll have the most choreographic options possible for sequencing.

This sequence also relies heavily on silks theory to move from one support to another seamlessly. Understanding how and why things work is key to a productive aerial silks sequence.
