Silks

This is a fun aerial silks sequence that involves three different kinds of climbs and a silks drop. We like combining different types of climbs in a sequence, so that instead of repeating the same climb over and over we switch it up and use a variety of climbs to gain height. This concept can turn a boring moment of climbing in a performance into dramatic aerial choreography. In this sequence we’re using two related climbs so that it feels like we’re building towards something as we continue.
This sequence also moves around the aerial fabric in interesting ways, and it has a few places to pause and rest which is always important to remember to help with endurance! This video goes over the transitions in detail. Remember to click on the individual silks skills linked below to get full details on mastering each individual skill in this sequence.
