Students will need to be very comfortable with mounts and dismounts for the top bar before working on knee hang. Also, a knee hang from the bottom bar is typically a prerequisite before training it on the top bar.
Knee hang on the top of the hoop is a gateway skill to a lot of other great skills. It can certainly be done as its own stand alone skill, but most often it is a position that we transition through on our way to other skills.
