Knee hang on the top bar of an Aerial Hoop is nearly identical to doing it from the bottom bar. The only real difference is getting up to and down from the top bar. Students will need to be very comfortable with mounts and dismounts for the top bar before working on knee hang. Also, a knee hang from the bottom bar is typically a prerequisite before training it on the top bar.

Knee hang on the top of the hoop is a gateway skill to a lot of other great skills. It can certainly be done as its own stand alone skill, but most often it is a position that we transition through on our way to other skills.
