Bird’s Nest is a fundamental inverted position, and the way that we teach it emphasizes keeping it light and strong so that it’s as easy to get out of as it is to get into.

We teach Bird’s Nest at the end of our beginner level curriclum, and students will use it in the air when they transition in and out of a variety of inverted wraps including wraps for the 360 Dive. It’s important for students to already have a strong tuck up inversion before teaching variations like this, and this video goes over our main teaching pointers as well as a couple of different options for stylizing it.
