Boot Climb is like a combination of Basic Climb and Russian Climb. We teach this climb in our beginner level aerial silks classes and it’s very supportive if students get the footwork right.
Boot Climb is a nice variation on a basic climb, because the fabric forms two bights for support around the foot and lower leg. For intermediate level students who have not learned this climb, it can be a fun challenge because it is a bit of a brain trick for anyone who has muscle memory of basic climb. For that reason we often teach this in mixed level classes as well.
