Split Sit Balance on Aerial Hoop is an unusual balance skill that uses an interesting combination of balance and active flexibility. The set up is simple and quick which means it is accessible to just about any level, but the awareness of balance and the range of active flexibility can make it more appropriate for more experienced students.

We sometimes use this drill as a grounding moment to calm students down and re-center them after working on momentum skills or skills that students find scary or emotionally challenging. Split Sit Balance is great for the body and the mind.
