Hollow body is a key aerial position that is utilized in a vast number of skills. Learning this shape can help aerialists move their limbs more cleanly and efficiently as it creates a strong, stable core to move from. It can also keep aerialists safe so that forces are not transmitted as much through the spine. This video defines the basics of the hollow body position, but there are many variations as seen in our other drill videos. We include at least one variation of hollow body in all of our ground warm ups prior to getting in the air.
