Arrow Slides on Aerial Hoop can be both an entry variation to many skills and a great conditioning drill. Many students get intimidated by them and believe their arms aren’t strong enough. We always like to remind them that the arms stay straight the whole time so it is more back strength than arm strength.

We teach several different Arrow Slide mounts and variations. This tutorial will cover all of these different options.

Arrow Slides are a challenging and very productive conditioning drill. They can also be a very expressive choreographic movement especially when done with one leg off. All of the Arrow Slide variations with asymmetry should be trained on both sides to make sure the body stays balanced, healthy, and smart.
